Ciao! I am enchanted to make your acquaintance. I wish I could call myself an artist and mean it but I'm still in the process of learning how to be more creative and put these hands to good use. I know this for certain though, I love music and I love writing. My first loves. Those are the two things that I am passionate about and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I enjoy singing and blogging, I'd love to learn how to play the piano or the guitar. I used to play both but it feels like a lifetime ago now so it doesn't count. I love politics. I thought I left that when I left the women's group where I used to serve but yeah, I love a heated debate as much as any Pol Sci student does.
I love creative writing. I love writing essays. I'd love to write love poems but I can't. That's something I'm hoping to learn one day soon. I am hoping to write a story for my Saviour and His Blessed Virgin Mother but right now I feel like they both deserve so much more than what I have to offer. It's a soul dream. I want to write love songs for Jesus and Mama Mary but right now I am pacing myself. My song, when it comes, will never be perfect but I know for certain that if I just push through and persevere, I'll get past all my doubts and insecurities and finally get that song ready. For Her feast day maybe? Or His feast day? I will ask no questions this time. This period is a time for learning for me. For rest and restoration. For meditation and growth. Who knows? I'm not setting a deadline anymore. Nor am I rushing. God is working in me and through me and whatever happens, I know for certain that He will never leave me.
I love life. I am a dreamer. I am also an avid fan of walking and communing with nature. I am also a runner. My Nike shoes, battered and worn as they are, are ready. My pedometer, weak battery and all, is ready. I guess only my lungs and body aren't ready. I want to cross-train. Maybe even run a marathon. For now, I call my passion walk-run. I brisk walk then run at intervals. If I were to take this much deeper, you would know that I've been running all my life. But now that I have an actual journal called Footprints, not online but an actual real live journal that says "No matter how smooth or rough this day, God is with us each step of the way." And I added, "Each step I take in this journey is towards you Lord Jesus. With a doodle of my favorite icon, a smiling baby with a single strand of hair. lol.
I recently met a cool Aussie who told me I'm funny. That surprised me because I thought that my sense of humor was in hiatus or something. Well happy to report life is wonderful. I'm living my dream, I just didn't realize it until this month actually. For the first time I'm actually unconcerned about stress and the other problems that we encounter on a daily basis.
Thank God for Jesus Christ. Thank You Father for reminding me of the real reason for the season. The reason why we celebrate Christmas. The Light of the world. The Living Word. Jesus Christ. I am forever grateful that I joined our local chapter of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. I may have been inattentive during prayer at times and I may have missed some days of novena but I am forever grateful to our Immaculate Mother for bringing me closer to Jesus. I will never forget the tears I shed when I was not allowed to join the Sacred Heart of Jesus in our church. But looking back I now realize that I was not ready! I simply wasn't! I was still commitment phobic. I just wanted to belong. But that's the wrong reason for joining a group, especially a religous group. And I learned that the hard way.
I wanted to serve. I was sure of that much. But my indecision at that time, my envy, my self-esteem issues became a block, a barricade even. I wanted to be closer to Jesus but my motives were childish. For Pete's sake, serving God and the Blessed Virgin Mary is an awesome responsibility. But it was also daunting. It still is. I realize now that I was pushing it. I wanted to serve through grand gestures, radical change, give mostly to streetkids and orphans.
Now I realize that the "rebel" in me is still pulling me to the dark side. But now that I know where I stand and that change start from within but can never be forced nor done the radical way, I have come to accept that I am not perfect. Mama Mary is still my ideal, I want to be humble, patient and pure just like her and Jesus, our Savior. But I also realize that God answers prayer in His time. For a while all I've been asking was for Him to melt my cold, hardened heart. And now that He has, the sun is shining again in my life.
I realize now that God has answered my prayers. True, we may still be poor but God has given me a steady source of living, a work that I actually enjoy and love. And He has reserved a spot for me in church -- right next to Our Mother of Perpetual Help -- where I help project the lyrics of the songs our church choir and members sing. It's a daunting responsibility but I cherish it so much. I've always valued being invisible, being in the background so you can imagine the embarrassment I feel sitting in front. But the best part is, if I just focus on my assignment, I forget about other people most of the time and focus on the reason why we go to mass -- to worship God and celebrate the sacrifice and victory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
God has rekindled the fire within me. He gave me a new reason to love. He has give me a reason to get up each morning, singing His praises, to keep myself busy without worrying about what other people would say. I guess the best way to describe this is GRACE. God has given me Grace. And this gives me hope, it has filled me with faith, His love is burning within me. And when I actually stop fighting His Grace, I feel at peace.
I choose life, I choose to be happy, I wish for joy, love, peace, hope and faith this Christmas, for myself, my family, and all of you. And I hope that God will touch your lives this way too. Yes, I am a sinner. I am not perfect. But knowing that Jesus, Mary and Joseph are working in our families' lives, that gives me so much hope. My heart swells with love. I am filled with so much faith that mere words could not describe it. I guess it's true that faith drives away all fears. And hope drives away despair. And love eliminates all negative emotions. I am not yet as humble, patient and pure as Mama Mary, not even close! But this much I know. I am now wholly obedient to the Father's will. And no matter what happens, I will always be in love with my personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You are awesome Lord God and I am constantly amazed at Your love for us. Thank You Jesus. Praise You Jesus. Amen.

How to Develop a Positive Mindset
God is bigger than our dreams. Look at the blessing. Look at what’s there.
Winners have a positive mindset. They look at what’s there. They appreciate their blessings.
If You Have a Positive Mindset:
- You will have a greater self-worth. "I’m beautiful." "I’m great." "I’m victorious."
- You’ll grow in endurance. Your blessing is coming.
- You’re gonna enjoy your relationships more. Look for positive friends. You look at what’s there, your family, your friends. It’s easy to forgive and forget.
- You’re gonna have more success. You’ll see the opportunities that are there for growth, for abundance.
- You’ll be a happier person.
How to Develop a Positive Mindset:
- Focus on the blessing! Celebrate your goodness and successes.
- Always have a grateful heart. Gratitude makes a person rich in spirit.
- Get positive friends. Hang out with them.
- Feel the Love!
- Keep Dreaming! I’m still growing.
- Confess the good. Affirm your life and yourself.
- Affirmations should be stated in the positive.
- Affirmations should include your name.
- Affirmations should be stated in the present tense.
- Affirmations should be specific. "I (name) am a patient mother." "I (name) am a terrific wife."
- Trust in God. In the midst of our trials and difficulties, God is at work. God is building His roots into us.
God is Bigger Than My Dreams Dreamboards and Dreambooks
Last month I learned about Dreamboards; last night I learned about Dreambooks. And now I realize that I probably should make something like a cross between both. Only now do I realize that I am a person of both images and words. I like learning from videos but I also like reading books. This is why I have decided to create my own dreambook-dreamboard. Sure this task may take a while to accomplish and I may need to revise this from time to time but I already have the basics ready. Just have to be more specific. Now that I know what God has intended for us – to go back to how He made us – good and beautiful and created in His image and likeness, I think it’s much easier to visualize a bright and lovely future. No stopping us now!
I’d like to share with you one of the most inspiring books I’ve ever read. “How to Know If Your Dreams Are God’s Dreams” written by Bo Sanchez. This is the part that really spurred me into action. I wrote down 5 dreams the same day. This is what Bo had to say about our dreams an how to make sure we achieve them.
Here are the three most important things you need to become a great success in life: Desire, Belief, and Action.
1. Desire
You need to want your dream from the depths of your soul. How intensely do you desire your dream? How deeply do you want it to happen? Many people don’t achieve their dreams because they don’t want it bad enough.
2. Belief
Belief is nothing else but a feeling of certainty. The more certain you feel that you can accomplish your dream, the faster you can make them a reality. Many people don’t achieve their dreams because in their heart of hearts, they doubt they can really do it.
3. Action
Albert Einstein said, “Nothing happens unless something moves.” Successful people aren’t the most knowledgeable people on earth. But you can be totally sure that all of them have a bias for action. Many people don’t achieve their dreams because they know but they don’t act.
To be honest, most of the stuff I’ve written have come true. I just didn’t realize it cuz I was shying away from this truth – God is good and He loves us equally and wants us to be happy. I guess finding fault, especially in yourself is not that fun. It brings you down and makes you think you’re mediocre. Which is exactly the opposite of what God intends us to be. He does have great plans for us. And as I’m writing this, I feel it in the depths of my soul that God IS making my dreams come true. Step by step, moving forward, little by little, day by day.
This is a bit personal but I’d like to share this anyway just in case it might help you and others like me who are seeking their purpose. My first goal is spiritual maturity and the second one is helping my family and sharing my blessings. At first, I found it difficult to get started on these goals. It felt like I was literally walking a tightrope. And it’s such a silly feeling, cuz loving God and my family should be so easy right? But no, my dreams of perfection, well my perfectionist nature kept me from proceeding.
Only now do I realize that God does not give us a deadline for loving Him and our family. It’s part of our everyday life. And it should be an integral part of our daily life until the day we meet our Maker and are reunited with the loved ones we have lost. So for now, I’ll keep planting seeds of love, in my heart and in the hearts and lives of the people around me. Yes, the desire is burning. I want love to keep burning. All the goodness of God reflected in me and in others. Yes, I believe and I am certain that I can achieve this goal and I won’t stop reaching for the stars, with God’s help, of course! I am taking action and I won’t stop loving and serving God and my family. The goal is the treasures in heaven and I’m never gonna stop. That’s how much I want this dream to come true! J
The third dream has actually been there all along. It has just been dormant. I want to write for a living and for fun. Only of late do I realize that I have put this on hold and I didn’t even realize it. This is my core gift and for that I thank God every day. But of late, I was a bit like chicken little, running around saying “The sky is falling!” I didn’t realize what was wrong or missing in my life. And now I know. I stopped writing. And I stopped blogging. I’ve been so worried that God will take away this gift that I failed to appreciate the other gifts He has given me. I also forgot that nothing has really changed. I was just going through growing pains. Sure, it’s not an easy cross to bear, especially since I’ve been worrying about minor stuff that I didn’t even realize that I’ve been forgetting about what really matters. More on that in the next few blogs. For this dream, the desire is definitely alive and I believe that with God, all things are possible. I won’t stop writing until God takes me back to heaven. Yes, now I am confident that God put me here for a reason, we all were, and I will continue to live out that reason (which is LOVE)!
The fourth dream is a bit long-term and it involves travelling to other places in the Philippines and other parts of the world. I can’t go into details just yet but yes, the Desire and Belief is there. I’m still planning out the strategy and action plan for this part of my journey but I know in my heart that I do want this and I am certain God will provide. Period.
The fifth one is more of a learning dream. I want to learn so many things that I think I’ll make another blog solely about that. Well, the good news is, I finally achieved one, which is to join the Internet Marketing hands-on Workshop by Mr. Jomar Hilario (a gift for which I am so grateful). As an added bonus, I met so many wonderful people during the actual event called “Freedom Weekend” which also features the Virtual Assistant Seminar. What an amazing experience that was! Until now I’m still learning. The best part was meeting Jomar himself. It was such a humbling experience to know that there are people like him who are kind enough to share their knowledge with the world. Another learning experience that I am grateful to be a part of is “The Challenge”. It’s such a great opportunity for self-improvement and growth. I’m really into learning more about Internet Marketing and SEO right now so these two opportunities for growth really fit into the dreams that I have written. Yet another ongoing learning program that I am a part of is the Truly Rich Club and more recently the Relationship Reborn program by Bo Sanchez. This is more of a holistic learning so I’m really quite enthused about this. All in all, things are going quite well and I am absolutely certain that all of these combined will make me a better person. Period. Fun!
Of course, I still dream of learning other skills like maybe a musical instrument or two. My first choice is really the keyboard and the second is the guitar. What I really want to learn is the violin, honestly. It's a childhood dream. But hey, gotta start somewhere, right? Also, I still need to get started on my plans to go swimming or maybe try something new like yoga (I've been putting this off for so long cuz I don't want to be a vegetarian), also I'm thinking about kickboxing and I'm still trying to convince myself to take that leap. Soon, I hope! Again, fun, fun, fun!

“Action Agad” and “Thinking Twice”
The past few weeks have been eye-opening. And that’s an understatement. First, what I thought was information overload were actually opportunities for growth. Second, I learned the hard way that keeping my personal and professional life separate is vital for my peace of mind. Also, I learned that sometimes I need to let go and let God.
What’s really funny is that I just realized that I’m one of those people who thrive and grow in an environment where deadlines are met on time every time. Plus, I discovered that I was the last minute “action agad” kind of person, which is an irony on its own. The answer to that? Change! More than that, Change my Focus! I also learned that follow-through is important; without it, your efforts are cut short.
You see, I used to think that procrastination is my number one enemy and that I should do something “right here, right now.” Now I realized that in forgetting to look at the bigger picture, what I thought of as “action agad” turns out to be moot and academic when the action you take is wrong! Seriously, when you make one small mistake, whether it’s in your personal or professional life, you don’t see it that way. But when the mistake is already “out there” so to speak, that’s when you realize that your “boo-boo” has become a glaring error in judgement and it has a way of coming back to haunt you. Aside from taking a step back and putting things into perspective, the best thing to do, imho is to find a middle ground, a balance of some sorts.
Without going into specifics, I realized several things. First, “action agad” or doing things right away has its merits but so does “thinking twice”. The former is good for simple things like calling someone or sending an email but when it comes to major projects, the latter is the best way to go. The thing is, they should go together. The best way to handle problems and manage projects is to have a plan. It’s as simple as that.
I learned so many things the past few weeks that it’s all been a jumble of information in my head. But now that I’ve taken a step back to evaluate things, I realized that I am growing. And it’s so much fun! The best part about it is that it’s not just my personal or professional life that’s experienced that growth. My spiritual life has also grown by leaps and bounds. I guess all I really have to do now is keep writing thoughts down as they occur so I don’t lose momentum. I realize that I’ve been focusing on the wrong things. Like what went wrong or what could go wrong. From now on, I will focus on the blessings. I believe that is the secret for growth.
I now realize that life is too short to spend moping around wishing for what could have been. Honestly, I simply miss writing. Period. Now that I know better, I’m going back to my favourite habit – writing, writing for a cause, writing straight from the heart, creative writing, writing to inspire. Praise the Lord! Thanks for Your instruments dearest Father. Now I realize that life is so much more than it really is. I’m moving on! J

Why I'm So Happy I Joined the Freedom Weekend Workshop
When Mr. Jomar Hilario came to Cebu for a 3-day Internet Marketing Workshop and VA Seminar, I was blessed enough to join the event and it was such an eye-opening experience. I learned so many neat stuff that I'm still digesting things until now. Seriously, it was such an enjoyable experience.
The best thing I took away from this experience is gaining new friends who are such nice people.
Day 1 -- VA Seminar
The best thing I learned from this seminar is the importance of having confidence in yourself and always being open to new experiences. They say the only thing constant in this life is change so learning should never stop. Acquiring new skills is not enough, we need to hone those skills and find ways to become better at what we do.
Another useful information that I picked up is the importance of becoming familiar with new software and keyboard shortcuts. Seriously, shortcuts can make or break your day. Something as simple as switching tabs and copy-paste shortcuts can save you some much needed time in the long run.
What really cracked me up was this warning for Virtual Assistants and other people who work from home. Ready for it? "Your bed is nearby." Seriously! You have to take into consideration that working at home means you're AT HOME. It's not just your bed that's nearby, so is your fridge, your family, your kids, your pets, so many reasons to step away from the computer. The lesson here is being disciplined and being focused. You see, distractions will always be there, whether you're working from home or at the office so it really all boils down to your determination to stay focused no matter what. The last part is based on my own experience. :)
Days 2 & 3 -- Internet Marketing Workshop
You know what I really liked about the workshop? The fact that it was "hands-on". As in everyone gets the chance to go through all the steps with Sir Jomar, then review it with a fellow student, and then we can do the steps on our own. I like Sir Jomar's teaching style, very up front and direct without being too intrusive. He and other students who have already been through the workshop really helps each one of us. My favorite part has to be the "hands-on" experience. It made everything so real and simple. The steps are all there for us to follow. Learning while doing, now that's my cup of tea.
The best and perhaps most memorable information that I learned from the workshop is "Dreamboards".
Dreamboards ... I first heard of this word from Bo Sanchez in one of his audio talks and it has stuck with me since. I have written down a list of dreams, which was inspired by his book, How to Know If Your Dreams Are God's Dreams. For some reason I never got around to coming up with my own dreamboard. I kept editing and rewriting my dreams list but just didn't feel motivated enough to look for pictures and other stuff to add to my own dreamboard.
Dreamboards are visual representation of our dreams and what we want to achieve in life. It can be anything from pictures to magazine posters to training certification -- virtually anything that best describes what we want to happen in our life. This was explained in detail by Sir Jomar and he even showed us his dreamboards.
And oh, Sir Jomar also said the Mac is the best. I think I'll add that to my dreamboard. :)
Perhaps the most practical lesson I learned from this activity is the importance of planning. Research, planning, implementation, follow through and monitoring, documenting results and applying the lessons learned. At least that's what I've been doing since the Freedom Weekend.
I also learned to appreciate the importance of having mentors. Learning from experts really helps. People who have already "been there, done that" and are willing to share their knowledge with the world are out there, all we need to do is find them.
Plus, the freebies, so many freebies! Bonus materials that we can't find anywhere and pdf files that allows us to review the whole workshop from start to finish. So cool!
I'm really looking forward to doing the assignments. Procrastination is the enemy and I intend to defeat it no matter how hard it gets! Bit by bit, little by little, right? I'm inspired and I'm not afraid to show it.
It was called the Freedom Weekend and it was the most appropriate way to describe it. So many of my old belief systems have been uprooted and I'm hoping that with God's help I can get rid of the most difficult ones to uproot. I intend to fight old habits with new, improved ones, starting right now!

Advanced Web Ranking & Advanced Link Manager -- SEO Simplified
Advanced Web Ranking truly is one of the most effective SEO tools that simplifies the way we determine and manage search engine ranking, in my experience. From the most basic to the most complex SEO tasks, this software handles everything smoothly and efficiently with no glitches or problems whatsoever.
Seldom have I encountered a Search Engine Ranking tool that works seamlessly, without causing any confusion for its users. Right from the start, the instructions and the processes are clear-cut and user-friendly. Nearly all SEO requirements are right where I need it, with short bursts of useful information right there on the tool itself to guide me along the way. As a first-time user of the software, I am impressed at how easy it was to set up and activate new projects.
Creating a project is very easy — I just opened the program, clicked on the new project menu and I was on my way to building my first project. All I had to do was follow the quick and easy steps, choose the search engines that I wanted to follow, add my chosen keywords, enter my website and off I go. I got the results really fast, thorough and accurate, covering everything that I wanted to check and track. The Advanced Web Ranking tool is brilliant and surely a welcome addition to the SEO software market.
First of all, the software provides so many options for keyword research. Naturally, keyword research is one of the basic fundamentals of any campaign. Accuracy is important; otherwise, it takes longer to reach your goals. Advanced Web Ranking does not just offer ordinary keyword research and analysis; it also has relevant and useful options like Keyword Suggestions and Keyword Builder, which makes finding more targeted key phrases much easier.
Keyword Research can be quite tricky, but with Advanced Web Ranking, different variations of keyword research can be done all in one place, with accurate results that are very useful for SEO. Plus, importing keyword is automated, which saves time and a whole lot of effort and giving me more time to spend on other tasks that are just as important. With so many options to choose from, I can just decide which ones I want to keep tracking. The Intelligent update feature allows me to do just that — I only search for and get the results that I really need and save lots of time in the process.
And then there’s the automated updates — this feature is by far the most appealing, especially if you run an SEO business. I can set a schedule for all of my projects to be updated simultaneously, even while I’m sleeping. Plus, the projects are organised. No more sorting through hundreds of projects, searching for the one I want to review or update. I can find everything I need to know about my chosen projects in less time. What’s more, I even get the option to receive an alert in case one of my websites does not appear on the search engines. Less hassle for me and I can take immediate action to find and correct the error, whatever it may be.
The best part about this tool is the fact that it allows me to do more research and comparative analysis about my competitors all in one place. It offers access to over a thousand search engines, which allows me to monitor my Website Ranking as often as I want. Add to that the printable reports that are ready for export in these formats: HTML, PDF, XLS, XML, TXT and CSV; automatic upload of reports to websites through an FTP server; or email reports that can be automatically sent to clients without having to worry about doing those tasks manually. The personalised reports, which can easily be integrated into my company report templates makes this part of the business a whole lot easier. Throw in scheduled backups and updates for all projects and we’ve got a frontrunner SEO tool here!
The fun part about the whole experience is that while I was using the Advanced Web Ranking software, I was able to explore so many nuances of search engine optimisation for my websites that it was like entering a whole new world of possibilities. I find all the new features and nifty gadgets very useful. This Keyword Research Tool is extremely powerful and excellent in quality.
And the amazing SEO experience doesn’t stop there. Advanced Link Manager is now available as well. I tried the software and like Advanced Web Ranking, this one doesn’t disappoint. In fact, I’m impressed by its many functions. Virtually everything that an SEO professional needs for Link Building and Link Popularity can be found in this amazing tool.
One of the most efficient features that Advanced Link Manager offers is the domain analysis function. This tool allows you to analyse multiple domains — whether your own domains, your partner websites or your competitors — seamlessly integrating all the necessary tasks required in website optimisation. This Link Manager tool helps users find ways to enhance on page optimisation based on a thorough analysis of web pages. Not only that, finding prospective link partners is such a breeze, it’s even possible to link to your partners, both existing and new ones, and automatically upload them to your website.
Launching link exchange campaigns has never been this easy. Finding potential partners and actually setting up web pages that link to them used to be either too expensive or time consuming. But with Advanced Link Manager, the whole process has become such a pleasant experience. This tool does almost everything for me — finding link partners is so easy and fast; the domain analysis results are really accurate; and the tool automatically creates and uploads new web pages with my partners’ links — all in record time. When the project was ready, all I had to do was set the parameters, schedule updates, and then I could conveniently manage and monitor my projects and get regular updates based on my preferences.
The best part about both Advanced Web Ranking and Advanced Link Manager is the scheduled reports, which are automatically prepared and sent to all clients. Multiple reports can even be produced, updated and sent on a regular basis to each client. Plus, all projects are organised for easy access; the days of painstakingly searching for a specific project is over. The software also enables users to make a backup for all projects and then schedule periodical backups after that.
I’m quite keen on using Advanced Web Ranking and Advanced Link Manager for all of our SEO projects. The possibilities for growth, research and development is endless that why I’m really looking forward to exploring every feature of these tools. I’m sure our clients will be very pleased when they receive the weekly project reports on time, every time. Now that is every SEO business owner’s dream!

God's Message for today
G O S P E L
Perseverance in prayer is essential if we want to get what we are asking for from God. Just like any human being, God looks into our desire when considering gifting us with His graces. The greater our desire to do His will, the more likely we are to receive His grace as He will know that we are less likely to waste the grace given to us. Let us seek to grow in our desire for the Kingdom of God, and thus grow in obedience to God’s will.
Luke 11:1-13
1 Jesus was praying in a certain place, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John taught his disciples.” 2 He said to them, “When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. 3 Give us each day our daily bread 4 and forgive us our sins for we ourselves forgive everyone in debt to us, and do not subject us to the final test.” 5 And he said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend to whom he goes at midnight and says, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, 6 for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him,’ 7 and he says in reply from within, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been locked and my children and I are already in bed. I cannot get up to give you anything.’ 8 I tell you, if he does not get up to give him the loaves because of their friendship, he will get up to give him whatever he needs because of his persistence. 9 “And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 11 What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish? 12 Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? 13 If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
