One More Reason to Love Idol...

IDOL GIVES BACK

Celebz using their influence to help disadvantaged kids in dire need. What a fab way to shine the light on the ones who truly matter, the issues that really count.

Moving, touching, inspiring...

I like Maria Shriver's message. Something about not waiting for leaders to spearhead our efforts to help others. One very wise wake-up call.

Lots to do! From my Forward days, Kung dili kita, kinsa man? Kung dili karon, kanus-a pa? Seriously!

  2. yep. but i don't think i'll ever get the image of those four kids getting tested for hiv/aids out of my mind. their innocence--snatched away and then recaptured for a few precious moments. kinda breaks your heart ei? :(

learned one important lesson from that clip: while there's life, there's hope. sorry, kinda sappy. the show was fantastic but the reason behind it was so much more than that.

  3. of course the reason was absolutely a meaningful one. who would forget that? makes you feel thankful and lucky... also makes you feel that there are a lot of good folks out there. i hope... those participants are really doing it with all of their heart and not just for show. i hope they still do it with or without an audience.

  4. yep yep. it would be awesome to do what they did, perform in front of millions, go to the troubled areas and show what's going on to everyone, etc. but what would be even more amazing is to actually be part of the reconstruction surgery that the world sorely needs. hands-on, no excuses, no second thoughts. that's the plan.
